Yufei Huang (黄昱斐) is a composer and guitarist whose music blends classical tradition with modern expressivity. Born in China and currently based in Japan, he explores the emotional depths of music — from delicate, harmony-rich melodies to raw, unfiltered sonic landscapes.

Having studied psychology and music at Cornell University, Yufei is now pursuing a composition degree at Showa University of Music, where he continues to expand his artistic language. His work spans orchestral and chamber music rooted in the classical tradition, as well as piano and guitar solos that lean toward a pop-influenced, profoundly melodic style — always rich in harmony and emotionally stirring.

In his art music, Yufei draws deep inspiration from early modernist composers such as Scriabin, Bartók, Debussy, Ravel, and Stravinsky, exploring new sonic possibilities that blur the lines between tonality and atonality, absolute and program music. His compositions invite listeners into immersive, often bittersweet sound worlds that balance structure with expressive freedom.

Outside of music, Yufei is passionate about photography, travel, and immersive gaming. His love for vintage aesthetics and vivid storytelling extends across his creative work, whether through sound, images, or the places he explores.
